Term 3

Yay, it's back to school and what an exciting time we have planned in Room 8.
A very special welcome to Travis who has joined the Team this term. We were sad to lose Jacob who has returned to his old school.

Grandparents Day June 2010

What a fabulous day we had with our grandparents. GRANDPARENTS ARE ZIVATIOUS!

Our P.J. Day

Today we all came to school in our P.J.s because we got 20 stickers and we wanted to have a P.J. Party! It was great fun. We had a special visitor...a Magician! He even pulled a dove from a big red ribbon, it was amazing!

We also had a special morning tea.

Dancing

We are learning some folk dances to teach our Grandparents when they come to visit our class. It always puts huge smiles on our faces! And it keeps us fit too!

Podcasting

Room 8 have been learning about Podcasting...we are recording ourselves reading out loud and listening to see how we can make our reading better.
We think using punctuation when we are reading will really help us to understand what we are reading.

Sam's Message

At school I like Friday best because we have Discovery time and I can build things and work with my friends.
I like to play fun games at lunchtime!

Room 8 is a great happy learning place. My favourite thing at school is Maths time!

We are a happy bunch of year one students in Room 8 at Otonga School.

There are 19 students in our class and our teacher is Jill Fowler.


We love school and do some really fun things to help us learn in Room 8.


Our class promise is headed with...

Room 8 - " A Happy Learning Place"

and that is exactly what we are!
